The Curious Face of a Bear
Black Bears are one of my favorite animals to see in the woods. They are so large, yet so agile they are able to climb steep rock cliffs and run at good speeds when necessary. But most of the time they lumber through the forest looking for food. Each bear seems to have its own personality. A few moments before this photo was taken, the bear had been rubbing its back on a tree trunk. After realizing I was there, the bear turned and walked away in the other direction without incident.
