Bird Photography Walks

Join me for a relaxed small-group bird photography experience in the field designed for beginner and intermediate photographers looking to improve their wildlife photography skills while photographing birds in active local habitats.

These walks focus on real-world bird photography techniques including camera settings, autofocus setup, lighting, composition, bird behavior, and fieldcraft while spending time photographing birds together in the field.

Whether you're new to bird photography or looking to become more confident with your camera setup, these walks are designed to provide a supportive and approachable learning environment.

What to Expect

During the walk we will:

  • Photograph active bird species in local habitats

  • Discuss bird photography camera settings and autofocus techniques

  • Learn how to work with light, backgrounds, and composition

  • Talk about bird behavior and how to approach wildlife ethically

  • Spend time shooting alongside other local photographers

  • Have opportunities for questions and limited one-on-one guidance throughout the session

These walks are intentionally kept small to create a relaxed experience with time for interaction and instruction in the field.

  • Beginner and intermediate bird photographers

  • Anyone wanting more confidence with wildlife photography

  • Photographers interested in learning in a real field environment
